Winter Farmers’ Market

A local greenhouse opened one of its halls to a bi-weekly farmers’ market and last weekend it was packed and seemed to be a moderately social, as well as shopping, event. A student from Norway was conducting a survey for a thesis and her findings will also give Seacoast Eat Local some data on who shows up and why. Live music, fresh fishmongers, hand-dyed wood, baked goods, a place to donate food for charity, lots of fresh seasonal vegetables, and hot food to eat on the scene. I ran into friends from the community garden and met a guy who teaches Italian.
